IBM and its partners have announced that they’re focusing on the joint development 28nm technology, high-k metal gate (HKMG) and low-power bulk complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS). Intel’s Vice President presented Clarkdale
Paul Otellini, Intel’s CEO indicated during an earnings conference call that the company have shipped 32nm Westmere chips to about 30 laptop and desktop PC makers for testing. The chips are expected to ship in volume later this year, and hit on sale in PCs by early next year.
