Super Talent Shows Off Its Super Fast PCIe SSD

Though SATA 6Gbps standard was released already, Super Talent is not satisfied with the speed, so the company has tried out the revolutionary RAIDDrive SSD which has made its first appearance at ComputeX.
The new RAIDDrive SSD featuring PCIe 2.0 x8 interface theoretically delivers 80Gbps (8GB/s) speed. It comes with four Indilinx SSD controllers, MCL NAND flash and 1GB cache, supporting up to 2TB capacity. The sequential read and write speed on RAIDDrive SSD is 1.52GB/s and 1.33GB/s respectively according to the demo machine, which outperforms SATA 6Gbps (600MB/s).

Super Talent RAIDDrive SSD is coming with ES, WS and GS systems, which target enterprise servers, workstations and gaming PCs respectively. Backed by 2-year warranty, the RAIDDrive SSD will cost less than $1000.
