NVIDIA Reportedly Played Tricks on Benchmarks

 

NVIDIA has recently been accused of altering benchmarks to show its GeForce GTX 280M has helped Alienware M17x become the world’s “fastest laptop”. The system that M17x challenged was the Asus W90 which is powered by two ATI Radeon HD 4870.

The site eteknix has pointed out that the drivers for Asus machine are more than one year old, instead of the “latest drivers” as NVIDIA claimed. You know, the old drivers have hardly utilized the second GPU at all.
