Intel Core i5 750 Gets Unboxed

Though the launch of the first high-end Lynnfield processors are due on September 6, the retail edition of Core i5-750 has popped up at Coolaler forum.

Priced at $196, the Core i5 750 features Socket 1156 package, working at 2.66GHz with 8MB of L3 cache, a 95W TDP, an integrated dual channel DDR3 memory controller, and a maximum Turbo Boost frequency of 3.2GHz.

    They probably get a higher yield without VT, so follows the lower price.

    See i7-920 with HT turned off and only dual-channel memory and you should be within 1-2%. Exceptions include the odd I/O bottleneck from losing QPI speed or whatever.
