Arctic Cooling Tries out Arctic Power Batteries

The Swiss thermal solution provider Arctic Cooling has today announced something interesting: Arctic Power, durable alkaline batteries in both AA and AAA size.

Arctic Power packs capacity of 2900mAh and 1300mAh for AA and AAA battery respectively, which is up to 4 times more conventional than zinc-carbon batteries, making it an ideal choice for low power consumption devices such as radios, clocks, CD/MP3 players and remote control etc.

Thanks to its wide operating temperature range (-30°C to +50°C), the Arctic Power batteries work safely in extreme circumstances.

The Arctic Power will be available in September 2009. The MSRP for a pack of 8 AA batteries is US$7.90/€5.70, and a pack of 8 AAA batteries is US$8.50/€5.90.
