Intel has reportedly set a shipment goal of one million Lynnfield (Core i5 and i7) CPUs for desktops by the end of 2009.

NVIDIA said during a conference for financial analysts that the emergence of next-generation DirectX 11 application programming interface will not drive sales of graphics cards.
