AMD Plans Three Next-gen Mobile Chips |
We’ve already learned that AMD’s next-generation GPU is codenamed Hecatoncheires which includes three desktop models and three mobile ones.
AMD is planning to name them after islands according to Fudzilla - Cozumel for high-end market, Ibiza for mainstream market and the last one is Kauai, which are expected to take the place of Madison, Park and Broadway DirectX 11 parts in late 2010.

Several NVIDIA partners are rumored to cancel GeForce GTX285 and GTX275 due to lack of supply, so the guys at BSN have contacted a few NVIDIA partners to see if there is any truth to the rumor, and learned that the rumor was untrue.
They all say the GT200 parts are in mass production, with internal refreshes coming up soon from a few of them. We guess the tight supply should be a regional issue – though some EU partners show worries about it, most of them didn’t have any allocation issues.
