Update: NVIDIA GeForce 310 Spotted on HP Website

Some reports suggest that NVIDIA’s desktop GPUs based on next-generation Fermi architecture will be launched as GeForce 300 series. Intestingly, we’ve just came across a graphics card dubbed GeForce 310 at HP’s official website.
The card features low profile design, and packs DisplayPort and DVI outputs, looking quite similar to GeForce 210 released last month.
It’s a pity that further details are yet to be found, but it’s very probable that this is just another rebranded card considering NVIDIA’s tradition. The card is now available in UK for €40.
Update:
Just as we expected, the GeForce 310 has been officially listed at NVIDIA’s website as an OEM card, with exactly the same specs and design with GeForce 210. It seems that NVIDIA can never get enough of their rebranding tricks.

Probaby 4x faster than Intel integrated graphics? Sorry Nvidia, not crappy enough to compete with Intel.

So, what is the name for DX 11 GPU mobile Nvidia? Geforce 410?

Direct X 10.1 only. The specs and physical layout are identical to the G210. Have to conclude this is another renaming-for-the-gullible-masses from Nvidia.

Can someone stop NVIDIA renaming?

Thats right nvidia you keep renaming your cards while ATi releases cards that are kicking the living daylights outta the gtx 295.
Hey I guess someone has to keep the shareholders happy.
Hence the flurry of renaming/hybrid cards and the recent talkativeness of the CEO

Seems to me the only ones that make the biggest deals about this “renaming” aren’t affected by it: Many of us know better, we read the specs and any reviews to make our decisions. But, if anyone prefers to waste their time criticizing a company for tricking an already ignorant group of people that isn’t interested in informing themselves, they can but it is a waste of time.

@Lehpron –> how about a bit oot, criticizing fake 18 bit interpolation TN LCD to be a true 24 bit S-IPS LCD Panel? I hate to be cheated (they claim 24 bit), but I can find any easy way to now if the LCD panel was true 24 bit (All TN panel is 18 bit interpolate). Sorry for the oot.

Nothing against the renaming. If these cards would have DX11, price is all that matters. However this specific card is ridiculous. DX11 is not the issue cos that 64bit DDR2 will block like never before, I wonder if it is slower than integrated graphics.
