The cooler can be used in conjunction with case with side-panel fans to enable passive cooling, or be actively cooled with 14 or 12cm fans.

Compatible with AMD Radeon HD 5800/4800/3800, X1900/1800/1650/850/800 series and NVIDIA Quadro FX3000, GeForce 9800GT/GTX/GTS250, 9600/9500/9400GT, 8800GTS/8600GTS, 7950/7900/7800GT and 6800GT series graphics cards, the Spitfire cooler is expected to hit retail soon.

Interesting design, only the issue they haven’t noticed, that a stockprocessorcooler will suck the hot air from the Spitfire right into the CPU. If you have short GPU-card you can always turn is 90 degrees or perhaps upside down. Nevertheless, that is one big GPU-cooler

Time to come up with an extension to the ATX case spec so people can support massive video cards.

Agreeing completely with the P-Man, looks like a great idea on paper gone completely mad! As if no other physical apparent constraints existed. Thermalright does realize this big hunk of aluminum will Slam Directly into our already Extra Large CPU Coolers, …Duhhh Right? I have a Thermalright TRad and itβs amazing, just waiting for something new from them for the new ATI 5850, that is a little better looking. Imagination is a wonderful thing Butt. Hey Thermalright! Just add a little dollop of Basic Physics on top, Ya Think?
