Radeon HD 5970: The Undisputed Performance Champ
Temperature benchmark: rather hot
As Rivatuner doesn’t support Radeon HD 5970 yet, we used ATI Overdrive and MSI AfterBurner utility as monitor tools. The room temperature was kept at 23℃.

The two GPUs of Radeon HD 5970 were 51℃ and 50℃ when idle, and ATI Overdrive detected that the fan speed was 25%, generating not much noise.

After Furmark V1.7 run for ten minutes, the GPU temperature soared to 90℃ and 86℃ with fan speed rising to 45%. We also tested the GPU temperature during real games such as Left 4 Dead 2, finding that the GPU temperature increased to 85℃ and 82℃.

Those benchmarks gonna have a little effect on ATI sales, I assume.

Dude, please tell me that youre going to write more. I notice you havent written another weblog for a while (Im just catching up myself). Your blog is just also important to be missed. Youre so right. Im there with you. Your blog is certainly worth a read if anyone comes throughout it. Im lucky I did because now Ive received a whole new view of this. I didnt realise that this issue was so important and so universal. You undoubtedly put it in perspective for me.
