Since Asus and Gigabyte have both presented their own P55 motherboards with SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0 ports, MSi also decides it’s time to jump on the bandwagon.

The new P55-GD85 motherboard features PLX PEX8608 and Marvell 88SE9123 chips to accommodate two SATA 6Gbps ports as well as NEC D720200F1 chip to drive the two USB 3.0 ports.

Other specs include 8+2 DrMOS power supply design, four dual-channel DDR3 memory slots, two PCIe x16 slots, two PCIe x1 & PCI slots, and MSI’s patented technologies including OC Genie, V-Check Point and SuperPipe.
