DFI Rumored to Exit Consumer Motherboard Market

Still remember the Abit who existed motherboard market at the end of last year? We’ve just learned from Semiaccurate that DFI is also leaving the consumer motherboard business in January. Fortunately, the company is not going away – instead, they will be refocusing on the industrial PC business.
According to the site, one of the major causes was that it was a relatively small player in the high-end business, and because of that frequently got shafted on allocation.
If these rumors are true it will be a shame to see it go away.

I asked DFI about it and they denied it. The rumour is false.

Asus is next, to be replaced with Pegatron/ASRock… maybe ASRock is going to exit, too.
