DFI Preps Atom N450-Powered Mini-ITX Motherboard

DFI has just announced a new mini-ITX motherboard based on the latest dual-core Atom N450 processor – LR100-N16M, targeting gaming, industrial control automation, and medial equipment embedded applications.

Embedded with the Intel 82801HM I/O controller (also referred as ICH8M), the fresh board features GMA 3150 graphics, up to 2GB of DDR2-667MHz SODIMM memory, three SATA 3.0Gbps ports, one PCIe x1 slot & PCI slot, 5.1 channel integrated audio and D-Sub output, supporting ACPI 3.0 Power management with Intel SpeedStep technology.

The announcement has further proved that the rumors about quitting motherboard market are not true, and we do expect more innovative creation offered by DFI.

For anyone’s info, there is another gaming market apart from home PC, it is involves casino gaming, which is what this board it aimed at. Obviously a modern PC gamer wouldn’t have need for so many legacy serial ports, so try thinking outside your boxes. ;)
