H55 with Pentium G6950 Performance Detailed against G45, G41

OCWorkbench has recently unveiled the benchmarks showing the graphics performance of Intel Pentium G6950. The H55 chipset was compared with three other platforms: G41, G45 and GF9300 with GMA X4500 (800MHz), GMA X4500HD (800MHz), and GF9300 (450MHz) respectively.
According to the test, the Pentium G6950 outperformed the G4x products by a good margin, but still lagged behind NVIDIA’s GF9300. Even at a low resolution of 800×600, the gaming performance was poor, especially in the titles such as Far Cry 2 and Last Remnant.

The award for exceptionally slow GPU once again goes to Intel corporation! We congratulate Intel on maintaining a relentless pursuit of slowness and expect to see more slow Intel GPU’s in the future!

The speed is perfectly adequate in all applications besides gaming.
Integrated graphics is not meant for gaming and this market absolutely doesn’t care for gaming performance.

qq: you’re talking out of your ass. Intel’s IGP crap can’t even accelerate basic 2D graphics like text (just look at how “smooth” you can scroll a webpage with Intel’s IGP), let alone handle intensive flash objects, not to mention even simple games are a struggle with silly behavior throughout because of Intel’s piss-poor drivers.
Bottom line: Intel should let a professional graphics company like Matrox/NVIDIA/PowerVR etc. handle their graphics duties while they concentrate on what they do best: design the best CPU’s in the world.
