The Taiwanese company PQI has unveiled a couple of new portable storage solutions supporting the USB 3.0 standard – S533 and H566.

Coming in 320GB, 500GB and 640GB capacities, the 2.5-inch H566 hard drive is backward compatible with USB 2.0 standard and provides read/write speeds of up to 105MB/99.9MB per second, respectively.

The S553 takes same form factor as H566 but makes use of an Intel SSD and delivers read/write speeds of 274MB/198MB per second, respectively.

PQI’s new USB 3.0 drives are expected to become available in the coming weeks.
