AMD Grabs More CPU Market Share in Q4

 

According to IDC’s latest PC processor study, the worldwide PC microprocessor shipments in the fourth quarter of 2009 rose modestly, with mobile PC processors increasing by 11.7%, x86 server processor growing by 14.1% and desktop processors by 4.8%.
 
When compared to Q4 ‘08, CPU shipments in 4Q09 rose 31.3%, and the overall market average selling price of processors rose 6.7% quarter over quarter.
