Let’s take the LGA1366 platform for example. You need to fix the backplate in the mounting hole beside the CPU socket of motherboard.
Secure it by tightening the screw pillars.
Place the anchoring bracket mount on top of the four screw pillars, and then tighten the pillars with the thumbscrew caps.
After applying a layer of thermal paste evenly to the top of the CPU and the bottom of the heatsink, place the heatsink on top of the CPU, and then secure it by tightening the hexagonal screws.
You may adjust the pressure between 40lbs and 70lbs by turning the angled wrench clockwise. We noticed that even under the Max. pressure, the heatsink can shake slightly.
Install the 12cm fan and secure it with the fan wire clips, and it’s set.
