ATI Mobility HD 5870 Beats GeForce GTX260M

Asus chairman Jonney Shih has lately showcased the latest G73 gaming notebook from its ROG series, which has utilizes the recently released ATI Mobility HD 5870.

The 17.3-inch (1920×1080) notebook features quad-core Core i7 Mobile processor, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 1TB of hard drive, and will hit retail with a starting price of $1645.

When equipped with Core i7-720QM 1.60GHz processor, 8GB of RAM and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics card, the system scored P7260 in 3DMark Vantage benchmark.
Another Asus’s offering – G60, which uses GeForce GTX260M and Core i7-820QM 1.73GHz only scored P5240, lagging behind by nearly 40%.
