Intel Core i7-980X Crushes 3DMark Vantage World Records
Intel’s first hexa-core processor for desktop market which will be known as Core i7-980X is expected to arrive in March or April, but the overclocker Andre Yang has already grabbed one sample and created several 3DMark Vantage world records with it.

With a Core i7-980X CPU clocked at 5.9GHz, together with four Radeon HD 5870 graphics card, Andre Yang brought the performance to a brand-new level.

Since the processor hasn’t been released yet, the results were removed by FutureMark soon. However, we can still tell that the chip promises great overclocking capabilities.

FridgePimp your Rig
Glancing over at my Mini-Fridge-O-Rator in my workshop, light bulbs falling on my head. Why do we settle for ventilation when we can have refrigeration? Why don’t they put refrigerator components into computer cases? Refrigerater/Freezer/Air Conditioner components are basically the same; condenser, evaporator etc. Then my next Cooler Master case can have a 7 cubic feet capacity, ice and water in the door, a Subzero CPU setting and next to the Corsair memory, enough space for a turkey sandwich, 2 burrito supremes, and 6 big cans of Fosters! Gaming the way God meant it to be!
