MSI GeForce 210 Employs ATI DDR2 RAM

The RAM chip of Radeon HD 5450 graphics cards offered by some vendors were found bearing ATI logo, and we guess AMD bought them from Samsung or Hynix and then provide partners as a part of bundle with their GPU chips.

This should generate some price discount to make their products more competitive. Interestingy, AnandTech site has recently revealed that MSI GeForce 210 also employs AMD DDR2 RAM!

As shown above, the chips also bear ATI logo. Considering the bitter fight between AMD and NVIDIA in GPU market, it’s really hard to believe that, but things always change, don’t they?

I guess this is a big win for AMD. If they managed to convince one of the NVIDIA partners to buy ATI memory, this is big. Sort of like using ATI integrated graphics on an Intel motherboard.

A conspiracy, where AMD and nVidia are actually the same company, feeding off of each other.
