Intel has just revealed the Atom N470 processor for netbook platforms. The 45nm-based CPU has a single core running at 1.83GHz, 512KB of L2 cache and supports DDR2 667 memory modules. The prices of DDR2 chips are expected to rise again in the second quarter mainly due to the reduced production at makers, according to Jance Lu, chairperson of memory-module house Power Quotient International (PQI). At the same time, the prices for DDR3 chips will remain stable until the third quarter when demand improves.
