Asus ROG Series 890FX Motherboards on Show

Several new motherboards were found at Asus booth during CeBIT 2010 – Crosshair IV Formula and Crosshair IV Extreme.

Both of the boards employ AMD’s unannounced 890FX+SB850 chipset and support AM3 processors. The Crosshair IV Formula features 10+2 phase power design, four PCIe x16 slots, two PCI slots, four DDR3 memory slots, and six SATA 6Gbps & two SATA 3Gbps & two USB 3.0 ports.

Designed for hardcore overclockers, Crosshair IV Extreme board packs four PCIe x16 slots, one PCI slot and one PCIe x4 slot. Compared to Crosshair IV Formula board, the Extreme variant embraces several gamer-oriented features just like Super ML capacitors, voltage measuring points, ProbeIT technology, PCI-E power switch, iROG Blu-ray technology and BIOS ROM.

The two models will be officially announced in late April, around the time when AMD Phenom II X6 processors make their debut.

    No Dual 10/100/1000Mbps ports? WTF?

  4. EliteBastard Says:

Everyone comes here to complain, its sad. “If I complain I feel more alive”

  5. EliteBastard Says:

All the new ASUS ROG Boards are HOT! Just because you can’t pay for them does not make them bad.

  6. Jon Says:

@EliteBastard: Look you insensitive clod… it is a remarkable motherboard.

But my point is, my next motherboard’s either going to have dual 10/100/1000Mbp ports or a single 10/100/1000Mbp port with the Killer Xeno Pro NIC card for backup.

Do I make myself clear, or do you have anymore questions?

  7. EliteBastard Says:

I think I am clear dude, thanks for letting me know, now I get you. Cool.

  8. EliteBastard Says:

Insensative clod, I kinda like that, it’s almost gratuitous, thanks.
