Sapphire and Asus are apparently not the only AMD board partners ready with a custom design 4GB Radeon HD 5970, as XFX has also almost completed their Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition.

Mainly based on AMD’s refernece design, the limited edition graphics card features some changes:

* The leaf-blower is centrally located, taking good care of the GPUs on its either sides.
* Core/memory clock of 850/1200MHz
* 4GB of GDDR5 memory
* six mini-DisplayPort connectors to support up to six displays
* two 8-pin PCI-E power connectors

The XFX Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition 4GB Eyefinity 6 will become available later this month in a limited quantity of 1500, and the retail price will reach US$1000 according to TechPowerUp.
