ATI has never had drivers that would kill your card. Broken mobile gpus, Fermi, drivers, what is going on with Nvidia? Oh well, I am so happy with my 5870 ATI card. Nvidia's inferior hardware and drivers are no match for it.

I'm beginning to question the quality of Nvidia drivers. I've owned both ATI and Nvidia cards, and ATI drivers are pretty good despite people saying they're not.

I am first worried about my VGA after reading this. I am trying to use GPU-Z to monitoring the temperature and using Nvidia Control Panel with priview to simple test the temprature. It took a long few minutes to realize that my VGA is using PASIVE COOLING (as always, panic first, think letter). My Gigabyte 7300 LE that using passive cooling I think will be safe from this bug.

Hmmm.... this is the second driver bug after the previous doesn't allow shader overclock. If this continue to third times with the lauch of GTX 4xx that is was fatal to Nvidia.
