I cannot believe how much power these cards are pulling. There has got to be a way to start getting the GPU’s more energy efficient.

Next thing we’ll know the standard will be dual 8 pin PCIe connectors on high end cards for a 375 watt power draw.

Crossing the 300W line means the cards arent PCI-e 16x 2.0 certified anymore. So this brings the question: are the OC versions of the GTX480 even allowed in the EU because TüV and RoHS will disqualify these cards because they are not PCIe compliant anymore.

Nevertheless, hopefully this card will rock the GPU world without frying any PSUs or motherboard chipsets XD
