Hardware Requirements on Windows 7 XP Mode Removed

Microsoft introduced the Windows XP Mode as a part of Windows 7 RC, but to get it work you need CPUs which support either Intel Virtualization Technology or AMD-V.

The situation is different now – Microsoft has just released an update (KB977206) to remove the hardware requirements, and the update is available for Windows 7 32-bit (3.7MB) and Windows 7 64-bit (4.1MB).

    I’m pretty much impressed with the stability of Windows 7. It is better than windows Vista which hogs my memory and cpu.*,’
