Buffalo Reveals USB 3.0 SSDs
Buffalo has just revealed the SHD-PEHU3 family of external SSDs which make use of a USB 3.0 interface and deliver transfer speeds of up to 244MB/s when using the included Turbo PC software.
The drives measure 97x57x12mm and weigh 66g, are backwards compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 systems as well.
Bundled with security software, the 64GB/128GB/256GB SSDs are expected to start shipping in Japan in late May for $282/$510/$1079 respectively.

Can’t think of anyone who needs an external drive SSD-Fast, but good for Buffalo for finding a niche market. Smart!
