Inno3D IChill GeForce GTX 470 First Review

Summary

Even under overclocking state, GTX 470 IChill’s core full load temperature is still 23℃ below that of the reference card, Inno3D’s self-designed cooler performance is worth approving. For the PCB temperature aspect, it is 4.5℃ higher than that of public version’s radiator under default state, and this performance is rather good amongst existent third-party radiator.

Since GTX 470 IChill nevertheless adopts the card design same as the reference, its overclocking capability is close to reference card with no exceptional performance.

If you are still hesitated to get your hands on reference GTX 470 due to its high temperature problem, GTX 470 IChill might be a good choice. It is less troublesome than renewing reference cooling system.

    all them fans and metal fins for one GPU? I expect to see something like that on a 5970

    Yeah would be nice seeing that on a 5970. Anyway, is it possible to put these in SLI, because I haven’t seen a SLI-bridge that can bridge a gap of 3 slots. So how would that be possible?

    But damn that thing is huge, nice review too =). Is this by the way the same cooler underneath the hood as the Arctic Cooling version or is it a totally different version? And what kind of cooling paste is being used by Inno3D, their own sticky standard nvidia goo or the MX-3/4?
