◆ 4-way VS 3-way SLI

3-way SLI has 116.76% advancement than single one, and gap between 4-way SLI and 3-way SLI is an average value of 3.50%.

Such situation lies in parts of drive and game, because at the moment 4-way SLI is not perfect, and there is no doubt that exist lots of problems, while 3-way SLI is three years old, also be mature enough.

◆ GTX480 4-way SLI Power Consumption

From testing result, we can see that feature Core i7-980X（OC 4GHz), 4-way SLI standby power consumption up to 376W; When runs on DiRT 2, it can reach to 1274W.

◆ Summarize:4-way SLI

NVIDIA 4-way SLI technology is immature, and performance is not better than 3-way SLI, but the increasing of power consumption need considered twice as well as the drive problem. If you want to use 4-way SLI, voltage will be the chief factor.

    I was referring to the total power consumption of 4-way SLI at full load.
