NVIDIA To Introduce GeForce GTX 475 Based On New GF104?
The recent price drop for Recent GeForce GTX 470 make some NVIDIA’s partners believe new GF104 chip is around the corner,and new GF104-based GTX 475 will come into being,as Fudzilla reported.
The old GF104 has only 7 SM(Streaming multiprocessors)with 336 stream processors as well as 56 texture units,while the new one will have 8 SM(Streaming multiprocessors)with 384 stream processors and 64 texture units.It is predicted that the frequency will be higher than the current GTX 460,and outperform than GTX 470.
In addition,AMD will launch HD 6900 series graphics cards,maybe it will be a good strategy for NVIDIA to use the new GF104-based GTX 475 to counterattack its opponent.
