AMD Radeon HD 6850 CrossFire Test

Introduction

Although AMD Radeon HD 6800 series don’t bring renovation in architecture,it has a very clear position. In performance,Radeon HD 6850 is close to GTX 460 1GB,while it is 40w lower than GTX 460 768MB in the power consumpton.

As for its proper performance position and  excellent power consumption control,it is predicted that in the future AMD may adopt dual-Barts solution to establish the new-generation dual-core flagship. And therefore, the CrossFire efficiency of Radeon HD 6800 series arise much attention from players. From some current test, some CrossFire efficiency surprisingly reach up to 100%.

In order to verify its outstanding CrossFire efficiency,we get two Radeon HD 6850 graphics cards to form two-way crossfire platform, how will the crossfire efficiency be?Now let’s begin the test "travelling".

Oh one more thing. The 590 score is quite lower than my 570SLI score. This can be explained I guess, if they used a stock 3.33Ghz 980X. I don’t think that Crysis 2 would beinfet form the extra cores. On the other hand, my 860 was running at 4Ghz during my benchmark and still it faced some slight CPU limits. If you jump at the end of the respective 570SLI video, you will see that the gpu usage was not at 100%, which points to cpu limits.
