AMD Radeon HD 6850 CrossFire Test
Conclusion: Driver has Much Potential To Tap

From this test, average Radeon HD 6850 CrossFire is only 68.3%,which is barely satisfactory, there is far away from efficiency of 100%.We also find out "super CrossFire efficiency" basically happen in high-definition image(such as enabling up to 4XAA anti-aliasing).According to our test data,if we only calculate the performance under 4XAA and 8XAA model.Average CrossFire efficiency can achieve 80.9%,in this condition,it indeed improves several grades.
One key factor which affects CrossFire efficiency is graphics card driver. In some games,Radeon HD 6850 CrossFire is invalid or low, while it can surge to 122% in certain games. From this,we can infer that driver still has much potential to tap,and therefore, there is much improvement space for CrossFire performance.
Undoubtedly, single Radeon HD 6850 performs excellent, while power consumption of dual-card CrossFire platform is controlled well under full-loaded state, which is 140w higher than that of single graphics card.It is very suitable for establishing CrossFire system.
In the top-grade graphics field,it remains to be seen which dual-core graphics card AMD and NVIDIA will use to compete with each other,Radeon HD 6850 X2?GeForce GTX 460 X2?However,the answer will be made to the public before the end of this year.
