The coming of NVIDA new generation flagship graphics GeForce GTX 580 not only pushes GPU performance into a new peak, but also brings more optimization apart from its performance, such as better control in heat and the noise problem.
As improved edition of GF100,GF110′s excellent performance is quite amazing.Afer success of GeForce GTX 580,NVIDIA introduces another card GeForce GTX 570.
The relationship between GeForce GTX 570 and GeForce GTX 580 is just like that of GeForce GTX 470 and GeForce GTX 480,they all shield the core which is flawed. In this way,it can not only improves yields, but also make the product line more abundant.
Core number of GeForce GTX 580 is "GF110-375-A1",white that of GeForce GTX 570 is "GF110-275 A1".The latter shields a group SM,and therefore, amount of CUDA Core and texture units decrease to 480 and 60,respectively.
In addition,GeForce GTX 570 also removes a group memory controller, the rest five 64bit memory controller can realize the spec of 1280MB/320bit,and the amount of ROP is just 40.
GeForce GTX 570 has the same CUDA Core with GeForce GTX 480 with amount of 480,while ROP,memory and memory interface of GeForce GTX 570 is less than that of GTX 480.Although there is improvement in memory frequency, but the total bandwidth is less than GeForce GTX 480.
Compared with GF100,one of the important improvement of GF110 is the better performance in power consumption and heat control.Surely,GeForce GTX 570 is no exception. The maximum power consumption is 219W,slightly higher than GeForce GTX 470.It just needs dual-6pin auxiliary power supply.
