Bring In New Blood,AMD CEO Dirk Meyer Resigns

Today AMD CEO Dirk Meyer was announced to resign from the post of chief executive and the post is temporarily replaced by Thomas Seifert,the chief financial officer.

According to AMD chairman Bruce Claflin,Dirk Meyer left the post based on the mutual agreement with board of director.It’s hoped this will bring in new blood to the senior management.

Dirk Meyer is now 49 years old,and he joined AMD in 1995 and was appointed as CEO in 2008.In addiion,AMD’s board of director has established special committee to seek for the successor of Dirk Meyer.What’s more,Thomas Seifert is said to be excluded from the list.
