Crysis 2 DX11 Patch Development Underway

The early release of Crysis 2 only features DirectX 9 pattern,and the highly-expected DirectX 11 effect is supposed to realize in the form of follow-up patch,which makes lots of players feel disappointed.

For the DirectX 11 patch,EA adn Crytek didn’t provide relative information before,so various rumors began to spread.However,recently Crytek has confirmed that DirectX 11 patch development of the PC version of Crysis 2 is underway.

"We would like to announce that there will be a DX11 patch released for Crysis 2,"posted Crytek community manager Cry-Tom on MyCrysis."We are working to get the best out of DX11,so we’ll wait to announce the features until a little closer to release."

However,the arrive time for Crysis 2 DX11 Patch is not revealed.And Crytek doesn’t provide details on what the patch will bring in terms of performance or visual enhancements.

    I hope cryengine can handle dx11 well and be a good showcase for it or it may be shadowed by the new unreal engine.. unreal kind of makes every game look the same in my opinion
