MSI Big Bang Marshal Motherboard Review

The first Big Bang motherboard——Trinergy
Big Bang Motherboard Evolution
Big Bang series motherboards are MSI’s most high-end products and feature distinctive style. The motherboards not only feature Hydra technology, but also bring a striking Marshal motherboard with eight PCIE slots.
Maybe it seems odd to employ eight PCIE slots with MSI Big Bang Marshal, but once we get to know the development of Big Bang motherboards,we will find out the first three Big Bang mobos feature gradual increasing PCIE slots status.
When it comes to Big Bang series motherboards,we have to mention Hydra technology made by LucidLogix. In September 2009,LucidLogix had begun to introduce Hydra multi-card technology, while MSI also claimed to become the first motherboard player to adopt Hydra technology, and MSI announced to rolls out Big Bang motherboard supporting connecting between AMD/NVIDIA graphics cards.
However, the first MSI Big Bang motherboard——Trinergy made us feel a little disappointed,as it didn’t support Hydra technology, while it adopted NVIDIA NF200 chip for 3-way SLI support.

Big Bang Fusion motherboard
Until the beginning of 2010,MSI finally rolled out the Big Bang Fusion motherboard, which supports Hydra technology and realizing mixing and matching multiple graphics from AMD and NVIDIA.

Big Bang Xpower motherboard
The first two Big Bang motherboards are both based on P55 chipsets, targeting mainstream and high-performance market. Not long after the coming of Fuzion,MSI unleashed Big Bang Xpower, the amount of PCIE slots increased from three to six.
Although the three Big Bang motherboards are positioned differently, but they kept the consistent features:multi-PCIE slots,high-quality military components(Hi-Cap tantalum capacitors,SFC choke,solid-state capacitors and DrMos),THX sound effects,OC Genie, etc. So what surprise does the next Big Bang
motherboard bring us?

Big Bang Marshal motherboard
The answer has been declared, just in CES,MSI once showed off Big Bang Marshal P67 motherboard, which features striking eight PCIE slots. What’s the use for them?
