Samsung Flexible AMOLED Display Scheduled For Mass Production In 2012

Last year,Samsung unleashed a flexible AMOLED display,while the special screen now is confirmed to be scheduled for mass production in 2012.

The flexible AMOLED display is 4.5-inch form factor with resolution of 800*480,supports Android and Windows Phone 7,as well as features quick response and low power consumption.

Samsung AMOLED display is expected be applied in the devices like smartphones,tablets,watches,etc.It rumored that the display is likely to be used in Galaxy S3 firstly.In addition,in the future if Samsung put the AMOLED screen in its tablet,maybe it will become a selling point for them to compete with Apple iPad.

    While not ‘ghey’, I really really really wish Samsung could produce a 4.5in 1280×800 or 4.7in 720p AMOLED. I love how their displays look, but we really need to get 720p into handheld devices (phones, media players, gaming systems, cameras etc).
