According to the source from Digitimes,apart from Foxconn Electronics,Apple plans to add a second manufacturer for iPad 3 tablets.And Taiwan-based Quanta Computer and Pegatron Technology are supposed to be the potential competitors for obtaining the orders.

The source indicates that,Pegatron is said to have got iPhone 5 orders from Apple,so it’s most likely to win the iPad 3 orders.The new iPads are expected to launch at the end of Q3 or early in the Q4,total shipments of iPad tablets are supposed to top 13 million units in Q3.

In May a large explosion happened to a Foxconn plant in south west China,the plant is a major production base for iPad,and therefore,many people began to spark concern for the supply delay.Due to the accident,Apple is forced to find a second manufacturer for minimizing the production risk.

Some reports said that this year Apple won’t introduce iPad 3,and it’s possibly to just upgrade the iPad 2 with the launch of iPad 2 Plus.
