Intel Postpones Only Dual-Core Mobile Ivy Bridge CPUs

Maybe for some users they will disappoint with the news from the article that Intel Ivy Bridge processors will be postponed to June, whereas according to the report from VR-Zone, none of the corresponding desktop processors will be delayed, and these processors will replace the current Sandy Bridge processors gradually.

In addition, in terms of Ivy Bridge mobile processors, only the dual-core models will be put off, and the quad-core models won’t be delayed as well. That’s to say, Intel is going to introduce several quad-ore Ivy Bridge mobile processors in April.

The reason for the delay of dual-core processors is to reduce the inventory pressure. As we have reported, due to the weak global economy, most first-tier notebook vendors are having trouble clearing away their Sandy Bridge notebook inventories.
