Intel Preparing for 313 Series SLC-Based SSDs

Upon the launch of Z68, Intel once introduced its 311 series SSDs designed for Smart Response technology. While in April, apart from 7-series chipset, the company will also announce new-generation caching SSDs——313 series, which come with the code name of Hawley Creek.

The same from 311 series, 313 series adopts SLC NAND flash, while manufacturing process is updated from 34nm to 25nm. In addition, the new SSDs have two capacities——20GB and 24GB, and 311 series only with 20GB.

313 series SSDs feature 2.5-inch and mSATA editions, have thickness of 7mm (9mm with 311 series), as well as support SATA 3Gbps port. In terms of price, 20GB and 24GB models are set at US$99 and US$119.
