Earlier exposed PCB of GK107 graphics card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 based on GK104 has been widely praised thanks to its decent performance, however, it’s a flagship graphics card with a relative high price, so GK107 is supposed to target the mainstream market.
As VR-Zone reported, the desktop GK107 will debut in middle May, from the current mobile GK107, the new graphics card will feature 384 stream processors with memory interface of 128-bit. The first-launched GK107 will pack GDDR3 memory, while GDDR5 model will come later.
The source indicated that the card will be named GTX 650 to replace the current GTX 550 Ti. From the mobile Kepler naming, GK107 graphics card with GDDR3 memory is supposed to be branded as GT 650M at most, in compliance with the usual practice, in desktop market, the card is likely to be called GT 640.
