Phison S8 SATA 6Gbps Controller with Type B 24nm NAND Leaked
Patriot once showed off its Magma SSD in CES, the SSD adopts a brand-new controller鈥斺擯hison S8.
Phison S8 SSD controller supports SATA 6Gbps interface, the first firmware S8FM0001 enables read and write speed of 460MB/s and 315MB/s, which can’t catch up with 500MB/s of SF-2281 controller, while better than 355MB/s and 215MB/s of Marvell 88SE9174.
Patriot Magma SSD uses Toshiba Toggle Mode Type B NAND flash which is based on 24nm manufacturing process. Apart from Magma SSD, MydigitalSSD BP3 leaked by TweakTown also adopts Phison controller, the capacity is 512GB.
