Nintendo has recently posted their forecast for the next year which is quite disappointing, but the company shared some news about their next console to reassure investors. The new device is launching in March 2017, if everything goes well.
The new console is adopting NX, a brand-new gaming system, which is said to replace both the Wii U and 3DS. We can also expect a gamepad in the package so you could use it when you’re not in front of your TV.
It’s unlikely that Nintendo will show off the NX at E3 in June though, because it’s quite a big deal for the company. Besides, they’re still selling the Wii U and 3DS after all.
We heard rumors that Nintendo’s next-generation console will utilize AMD’s Polaris GPU to deliver even better performance than PS4. But when it does become commercially available, there’ll be PlayStation 4.5 and 2nd-gen Xbox One on the market then, so it’s too early to say who will be the last winner.
