AMD Shows Zen Running Doom Fluently at E3

AMD CEO Lisa Su presented the hotly-anticipated Zen processor at Computex for the very first time, but we know nothing concrete yet such as its actual performance or benchmarks. The only thing for certain is, the first Zen based processor will be codenamed Summit Ridge, which is said to have 8 cores and 16 threads.

AMD has just shown a Zen powered system running Doom during E3 2016, with a perfectly smooth frame-rate. According to the video (click here to watch) Zen is mature already, but it still has to be adjusted and finalized until it’s powerful enough to compete against Intel’s equivalent.
