Sony PlayStation 4 NEO and Microsoft Xbox Scorpio are coming, and according to the specs we’ve heard about them, they can be really powerful, but Nintendo is quite chilled out about this. So far we only know that the NX will launch in March 2017, and no further details have been confirmed.
In a recent interview with Bloomberg Nintendo America President Reggie File-Aime said, “For us, it’s not about specs, it’s not about teraflops, it’s not about the horsepower of a particular system. For us, it’s about the content. Nintendo is a content focused company, we create content that makes people smile.”
“So for us we’re focused on bringing our best entertainment to both the Wii U as well as the NX in the future. So for us, whatever Microsoft and Sony are doing in terms of talking about new systems, that’s for them to fight out in that red ocean.”
Well, I’m not surprised at all to hear these statements, as Nintendo has always focusing on content, at least they say so. They value gaming playability more than the performance of consoles. But, I don’t see any conflicts between two of them, do you?
