Last night Samsung released its new flagship smartphone, Galaxy Note 7. With a similar appearance and configuration to Galaxy S7 edge, the Note 7 doesn’t come with many exciting features except for iris recognition and Type-C connectivity. When the company’s Senior Vice President Justin Denison explained the features of the Galaxy Note 7 to the audience yesterday, he made fun of Apple for (reportedly) cancelling its headphone jack for the iPhone 7.
“Do you know what else it comes with? An audio jack, just saying,” Denison said at Samsung’s Unpacked event on Aug.2.
The removal of audio jack for the upcoming iPhone model has received tons of complaints, actually. More than 300 thousand people even signed a petition urging Apple not to do so.
Of course it’s too early to say it’s unwise to cancel the audio jack – perhaps the same thing would happen to Samsung’s next-generation smartphones. Who knows?
