Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 has been really “hot”, if you know what I mean. After Federal Aviation Administration warned against using the troubled phone on the plane, Samsung is reportedly planning to remotely deactivate all affected smartphones to make sure there’re no defective Galaxy Note devices out there. The deadline of use would be September 30th.
The company will start shipping out a care package to all Galaxy Note 7 owners in France on September 19th, but it’s unclear how they’re handling things in other regions. The package will include a replacement Galaxy Note 7, the latest Gear VR and a prepaid envelop in that you could return defective handsets.
Fortunately the Chinese users of Galaxy Note 7 are not affected by the recall. We still hope Samsung could have the recall wrapped up as soon as possible.
