A few days ago Oculus’ Rift VR started to be listed for online reservation, and now HTC is also eager to sell its virtual reality headset – Vive.
Cher Wang, the Chief Executive has today confirmed that the headset is going to be ready for pre-orders from February 29th. No price yet, but it shouldn’t be cheap.
Vive’s major competition is coming from Oculus Rift and Sony’s PlayStation VR system. Vive has been developed with game maker Valve, designed to fully immerse its wearer in their virtual environment while playing games.
The Vive is expected to be commercially available in April, which is a little later than Oculus Rift.
