Apple hasn’t updated its iPad family since the launch of 9.7-inch iPad Pro in March, except for adding a 32GB edition of it in September. It’s normal for the tech giant to slow down the introduction given the weak sales of tablets worldwide. According to AppleInsider‘s source, Apple is planning to update the 9.7- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro line in March.
Barclays analysts claim that Apple is working on a new 10.9-inch iPad with the same enclosure size as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Also, the company will drop the price of the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro then, maybe to somewhere around the 7.9-inch iPad Mini.
The iPad Mini series won’t get an update at least in early 2017, contrary to some earlier rumors from October.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro refresh will feature a full True Tone display like the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and the processor is expected to be upgraded as well.
