Google I/O 2016 to Kick Off on May 18th

Google I/O is a big event for worldwide developers, which kicks off annually. Last year Google updated its Android Wear and launched Android M, i.e. Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

According to theverge, Sundar Pichai, Google CEO has recently twittered that Google I/O 2016 is scheduled for May 18th to 20th, back to “neighborhood where it all started 10 yrs ago”. The venue this year should be a bit different – we can look forward to Google’s fleet of self-driving automobiles. There will be some much-needed Android improvements too.

There were rumors that Google planned to bring Android and Chrome OS closer in line, but the company denied. We should be grabbing more information in just a few months, so let’s stay tuned.
